EVENT RECAP: Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Construction of Factories for Lease, a Wastewater Treatment Plant, and Phase 2 Technical Infrastructure at Subdivision B – Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park

The ceremony welcomed 135 delegates, including Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung – Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Council; Mr. Phan Thai Binh – Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee; together with representatives from government agencies, local authorities, partners, contractors, and businesses.

The project is being developed in celebration of the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2026). The event was organized by Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company under the direction of the Management Board of Chu Lai Open Economic Zone.

Following the welcome performance and a project progress video, representatives of Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park and the Da Nang City People’s Committee shared their development priorities and upcoming responsibilities. The delegates then performed the groundbreaking ritual, marking the official commencement of construction for the three components.

Three components strengthening the foundation for integrated manufacturing

Each component plays a specific role in expanding Subdivision B’s capacity to accommodate and support businesses:

• Factories for Lease: Covering approximately 18 hectares with an investment of VND 670 billion, the development will provide additional manufacturing space for new investors and businesses seeking to expand. It will help shorten preparation time and enable production lines to commence operations sooner.
• Wastewater Treatment Plant: Designed with a capacity of 4,200 m³/day and an investment of VND 160 billion, the plant will further strengthen the environmental infrastructure required to support growing manufacturing activity.
• Phase 2 Technical Infrastructure: Covering approximately 29.5 hectares with an investment of more than VND 268 billion, this component will expand the infrastructure network, connect with Phase 1, and create additional capacity for new investment projects.

The groundbreaking marks the project’s transition from completing its core infrastructure to developing facilities that directly support businesses and manufacturing operations at Subdivision B.

Turning commitments into visible progress

Mr. Hoang Long – Deputy General Director of BIN Corporation and representative of the project owner – shared that nearly nine months after the Phase 1 groundbreaking, the commitment to transform an expanse of white sand into an industrial park with integrated infrastructure is steadily becoming a reality. The core technical infrastructure has been substantially completed, and the cleared site is ready for handover.

This progress reflects the efforts of hundreds of engineers and workers, together with the proactive response of the project teams to material price fluctuations and construction challenges. For Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park, maintaining progress is also a responsibility to the city, partners, and communities in the project area.

Alongside construction, the project owner has conducted investment promotion activities in the United States and Europe, engaging corporations in high technology, artificial intelligence, and energy. Referring to this direction, Mr. Hoang Long stated: “Stay one step ahead and anticipate what comes next, so that the day the infrastructure is completed is also the day investors move in—without a single day of waiting.”

A new milestone in the city’s industrial development strategy

Chu Lai Open Economic Zone has been identified as a southern growth engine in Da Nang’s strategy to develop modern industry, services, and logistics.

In his remarks, Mr. Phan Thai Binh – Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee – recognized the determination and implementation capability of Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company. The progress achieved in Phase 1 and the commencement of the three new components demonstrate the company’s structured, long-term investment commitment to the city.

Positioning the event within the city’s broader industrial development strategy, he stated: “This is more than the commencement of construction works; it is a significant milestone in realizing a multi-sector eco-industrial park model that applies high technology and operates in an environmentally responsible manner.”

The city’s leaders requested that Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park maintain progress, construction quality, safety, and environmental compliance while prioritizing modern, low-emission projects that generate high added value. Government agencies and local authorities will continue coordinating to address administrative procedures, complete infrastructure connections outside the industrial park, and support site clearance for subsequent phases.

Continuing the development of a next-generation industrial platform

Subdivision B covers 346 hectares, represents a total investment of more than VND 4 trillion, and is being developed across eight phases. The project connects manufacturing space with technical infrastructure, energy, data, and environmental systems.

Following the ceremony, Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park will continue completing Phase 1 infrastructure and implementing the three new components in line with requirements for progress, quality, and safety. These developments will expand the project’s capacity to accommodate new investments and support the formation of a green, smart manufacturing ecosystem aligned with international standards in Central Vietnam.
